Detox Breakfast

This detox breakfast is an ideal option for all you busy working people that are looking for something quick easy and healthy. This is best prepared the evening before, so in the morning you can cut your slice and off you go!

My suggestion is for you to enjoy this detox breakfast with your choice of freshly cut fruit, especially if you want to achieve the best detox result. A detox is a cleaning of the blood from toxins. Fresh raw plant-based food is the best for achieving this.

Why I call this a detox breakfast?… It is very fruity! 80% of the ingredients are fruits, there is no added sweetener! Most importantly I carefully selected these exact ingredients because- cinnamon, ginger and star anise seeds are perfect detox spices, they are an absolutely beautiful infusion with pineapple and pear.

Ive added a banana for keeping it extra soft, some oats which are perfect for your digestive system. It’s high in fibre, keeping you fuller for longer, a real powerful kick-start for your day, isn’t it!

Instructions
  1. Pre heat the oven to 160ºC
  2. In a big bowl mix together the dry ingredients, add half of the pears (peeled and cut into cubes, add 1/2 pineapple cut into cubes
  3. In a food processor/blender put the leftovers from the pears and pineapple, add the banana and blend until smooth
  4. Pour the mixture into the bowl with the other ingredients and mix well
  5. Spread the coconut oil on your baking tray. Pour your detox oatmeal and bake until golden brown around 20-30 minutes
