Homemade ketchup (refined sugar-free)

This homemade ketchup is really easy to prepare and it doesn’t take long to make. It’s low in sugars, it’s refined sugar-free, oil free, healthy and clean.

So why make home made ketchup? If  you invest just 30 minutes you can be sure that the kids will be eating healthy and clean food. It’s great for everyone in the family because its with no added preserves, colourants and refined sugar-free. Its much lower in calories than the regular ketchup.

It’suitable for diabetics as the coconut sugar amount is small and its with a low GI. The taste is really yummy and divine, the addition of a pinch of cinnamon makes the taste unique and interesting. Instructions
  1. In a high-speed blender or food processor pulse the cherry tomatoes with a splash of water until purée
  2. Put the tomato purée in a saucepan on a low heat. Add sugar, garlic powder, cinnamon and salt. Leave to simmer for about 15-20 minutes
  3. Add the apple cider vinegar followed by the tapioca mixture / it has to be poured very slowly. Stir vigorously all the time to prevent any lumps.
  4. Keep stirring for about 5 minutes and then take it off the heat and allow to cool
  5. Serve the home made ketchup and enjoy
