The best hot chocolate with salted caramel and cacao nibs | vegan, organic

Everyone’s favourite, hot chocolate! One of my favourites as well, but as we know most of the delicious stuff is bad for us. This hot chocolate is prepared with extra high quality raw dark chocolate which is one of the best antioxidants and energy health boosters. I chose raw dark chocolate because of its health benefits in comparison to cooked chocolate. This is why it’s really important to not heat the vegan milk over 40-45°C ,so you can keep all the nutrients and health benefits locked inside.

For the caramel is used unrefined coconut sugar, which has a low GI compared to regular sugar. It’s also low in calories  rich in antioxidants and nutrients. Raw organic dark chocolate is great for a quick energy boost, great before the gym, a run or just if you have an important busy day and need maximum concentration. This organic hot chocolate is a good choice for the kids, they will love it! Without refined sugar or dairy products.

Raw dark chocolate, unrefined coconut butter and sugar are digestive and metabolism friendly. Plant-based milk is low in calories and rich in vitamins, minerals, fibres and protein.

A beautiful blend of great flavours in a healthy variation. I can bravely say that this hot chocolate is the best one I ever tasted and with the salted caramel infusion it reached new delicious heights!

Instructions
  1. In a saucepan on a low heat put 1 cup of the plant-based milk.
  2. Grate or chop down the dark chocolate and add it into the saucepan. Stir until half of the chocolate is melted.
  3. Take it off the heat and continue stirring until well mixed
  4. In another saucepan on a low heat put the coconut sugar with salt and splash of water.
  5. Melt down the coconut butter
  6. Stir the coconut sugar until its well mixed, when you see the bubbles add the coconut butter and stir well. Pour ½ of the caramel on the bottom of the glass and top up with ½ of the hot chocolate.
  7. With the remaining vegan milk used a steamer or frother to foam up the milk.Add this on the top of your hot chocolate
  8. Serve with extra grated chocolate and raw organic cacao nibs
