This is a super quick ultimate chocolate mousse that is full of nutrition. The best and most surprising thing about this mousse is that it’s based on lentils, this is providing you with a lot of fibres and protein. This mousse is really good and will definitely surprise you. It’s a favourite at home, my son and husband just love it and if they approve then I know its good.
The health benefits are great as well, it’s sugar-free, contains low GI maple syrup it has raw cacao chocolate which is full of iron and antioxidants. Did you know that cacao has the highest plant-based source of iron. It’s also a natural mood elevator, antidepressant and excellent antioxidant. Just another excuse to indulge yourself.. Be careful when melting this chocolate down, you can loose the high levels of nutrients if you over heat it.
Raw chocolate has to be melted and kept below 45°C. To be sure not to over heat it, use a thermometer. If you don’t have one make sure the heat is low and take it of the heat after its half melted. Continuing to stir until fully melted.
This quick mousse is a great filling for vegan tarts/tartlets , cake mousses, pancakes, crepe filling and countless other uses, depends on your tastes. Always leave it to cool for the best taste and consistency. In my home this unusual mousse is enjoyed in little dessert pots as a simple vegan, healthy dessert.
